Planning Board of Lake Luzerne

In addition to Town Board and Zoning Board of Appeals [ZBA], there is also the Planning Board. Lake Luzerne’s Planning Board is comprised of a total of seven members. All of the members of the Planning Board are appointed by the Town Board. The purpose of the Planning Board is (1) to assure that the development within the town is consistent with the Land Use Plan, which is also known as the Town Comprehensive Plan; (2) to conduct site plan reviews as required by the Town of Lake Luzerne, NY’s Zoning Ordinance and review subdivision requests as required by the Town Subdivision Code; and (3) to make recommendations to the ZBA when requested as part of the variance appeals process. The Planning Board holds it regular meeting on the fourth Wednesday every month. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM. Planning Board meetings are hosted at the the Lake Luzerne Town Hall Complex, located at 539 Lake Avenue.

Notice #1: As of the August 2024 Planning Board Meeting, the cut-off deadline for submissions to the Planning Board is 12 PM Noon on Monday THE WEEK PRIOR to the Planning Board Meeting. In most cases, this is to be the 3RD MONDAY OF THE MONTH.

Please Note: At the January 28th, 2026 Planning Board Meeting, the Planning Board voted to change three (3) dates for Planning Board Meetings in 2026. The July 2026 Planning Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 21st, 2026; the November 2026 Planning Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 18th, 2026; and the December 2026 will be held on Wednesday, December 16th, 2026. All three (3) of these meetings will begin at 7 PM.
